Pitt Law Strengthens Alumni Engagement and Philanthropic Support with Expanded Development Office

The University of Pittsburgh School of Law is pleased to introduce its expanded Office of Development, a team dedicated to strengthening alumni engagement, expanding philanthropic support, and fostering meaningful connections across the Pitt Law community. Bringing together experience in fundraising and alumni engagement, the office will serve as a central resource for alumni and friends looking to stay connected with the Law School and support its future.

Leading the office as Director of Development is Kelly Sanzari, who brings more than a decade of experience in higher education fundraising and alumni relations. Since joining the University of Pittsburgh in 2023 as a Major Gifts Officer within the Division of Philanthropic and Alumni Engagement (PAE), Sanzari has consistently exceeded fundraising goals while building strong relationships across the University community. Her leadership experience includes service on several University committees and mentoring new gift officers, in addition to prior advancement roles at Thiel College, the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Pennsylvania, and Geneva College, where she served as Director of Alumni Engagement.

Joining the team as Major Gifts Officer is Vince Russo, who came to Pitt Law from the University’s central Major Gifts team. Since joining Pitt in 2024, Russo has secured significant philanthropic support across the University and is recognized for his collaborative and relationship-driven approach to fundraising. Prior to Pitt, Russo held senior advancement roles with the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation and contributed to the organization’s most successful comprehensive campaign to date. In his role with Pitt Law, he will focus on building partnerships with alumni and friends while growing support for the Law School’s students, programs, and strategic priorities.

The office is further strengthened by the institutional knowledge of Christina Daub, who rejoined Pitt Law as Development Associate in 2022 after previously serving in the Law School’s development office for nearly six years. Her extensive experience working in the Pittsburgh legal community includes previous leadership roles with the Allegheny County Bar Association and more than a decade supporting Pitt Law’s advancement initiatives through donor stewardship, strategic communications, and alumni programming.

Together, the team is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for alumni and friends to engage with Pitt Law through events, communications, volunteer opportunities, and philanthropic support, while helping strengthen the School’s community for generations to come.
