From the Editor...

Welcome to the JURIST Guide to Health Law. As this Guide illustrates, the range of topics embraced by the term "health law" is vast. In selecting these materials, we have tried to keep the total number of links manageable by focusing primarily, though not exclusively, on websites that are both good content providers and rich sources of links to other sites on the Web.

Of particular note are the government sites, which seem to improve every week. Many of the documents that in the past could only be obtained through a local contact and a courier service in Washington, D.C. or a state capital are routinely uploaded to agency Web pages within hours of their release.

The dynamic growth of health law, both as an area of teaching and practice and as a Web phenomenon, makes it a challenge to stay on top of new sites and to keep links to existing sites fresh. If you have suggestions, corrections, or comments, please direct them to me, Tom Mayo.

Tom Mayo is associate professor at Southern Methodist University School of Law and adjunct associate professor of internal medicine at University of Texas - Southwestern Medical School. He is currently working on Understanding Health Law for the LEXIS/Matthew Bender Legal Text Series.
