Pitt Law Women's Association Marjorie Matson Award Ceremony
Please join PLWA in honoring this year's recipient of the Marjorie Matson award, Carey Cummings! Each year, Pitt Law Women’s Association honors a successful Pitt Law alumna who has increased the visibility of women in the legal profession and embodies the spirit of Marjorie Matson’s legacy.
Carey received her law degree from Pitt Law in 2004 and is the State Campaign Director of the paid family leave initiative in PA. She formerly served as Representative Dan Frankel's Chief of Staff and prior to working for Rep. Frankel, Carey was a litigation attorney for ten years in Pittsburgh. Carey helped form the LGBT Rights Committee of the ACBA and has furthered the committee's efforts on marriage equality. These are only some of Carey's remarkable achievements, come help us honor her with this year's Marjorie Matson Woman of the Year award!
