Information Session for First-Year Students on Concentrations and Certificate Programs
Correction: The only mandatory session is the February 21 Curriculum Planning Workshop at 12:30 p.m in the Teplitz Courtroom.
Members of the Pitt Law First Year Class will soon have the opportunity to choose courses for the second year of their program. The Law School has organized a variety of activities to help with these extremely important choices.
On February 21 at 12:30 p.m. in the Teplitz Courtroom on the Ground floor of the Law School there will be a one-hour Curriculum Planning Workshop for the entire first-year class. The session will include a presentation by the Dean’s office on graduation requirements, and presentations by faculty concerning subjects tested on bar exams and strategies for choosing courses and maximizing the value of student's law school experience.
During the weeks leading up to the February 21 Curriculum Planning Workshop there will be a series of half-hour information sessions on the various certificate and concentration programs offered by the Law School. 1Ls should attend the information session(s) for any programs in which they might be interested. Here is the schedule of information sessions:
Tuesday February 7
Intellectual Property & Innovation Law Area of Concentration – 12:30 p.m. Room G-20 (in conjunction with the Innovation Practice Institute’s “Innovators, Esquire” lunch)
Energy & Environmental Law Area of Concentration – 12:30 p.m. Room G-13
John P. Gismondi Civil Litigation Certificate Program – 1:00 p.m. Room G-13
Public Policy Area of Concentration – 1:30 p.m. Cappy Room
Thursday February 9
